Königsberg Is Dead
Documentary by Max & Gilbert about the rise of Königsberg in Ostpreußen, its apocalyptic destruction in WW2 and then its rebirth as the Russian enclave Kaliningrad.
Our tagline for this film was "Proaganda, Apocalypse and naked parties at the Baltic Sea". That pretty much says it all. The subject is usually laden with right-wing nostalgia about former german territories. We tried to offer a fresh and artistic birds-eye-view over the history of Königsberg/Kalinigrad and what actually happened there in World War 2.
